WDAV presents a series of concerts recorded live in the station's very own Clark Performance Studio.  Jennifer Foster hosts these sessions featuring both established local musicians as well as some of the area's "hidden treasures."  Exciting performances are augmented by insightful conversations on the artists' music and lives. 

Bill Gerhardt is a first call jazz pianist, composer and arranger in New York City and Amsterdam; we're lucky to have him back in the Asheville area where he settled to be near family. A founding member of The Jazz Composer's Forum in Asheville, he'll be remembered by jazz fans in Charlotte thanks to time spent there in the '80s in an award-winning quartet, Faction, devoted to performing original works with bassist Ron Brendle, a Charlotte jazz icon who's also appeared on The Main Street Sessions with the jazz ensemble Big Octave. Bill improvises on the spot in the Clark Performance Studio, plus, he performs his own works. We'll also hear from his new CD recorded with jazz quartet, Cotangent, featuring rising star Dutch saxophonist Marc Mommaas.
