What you are applying for:

A forty five minute concert presentation  of your original compositions  played with your band /or our composers in residence band who will read your charts in a  listening room environment . Applications sent now will be considered for upcoming season . You must reapply each season.  In order to apply to  Jazz Composer Forum for a concert presentation of  your music; submit a promo kit  to the Board of the JCF by mail . The board meets quarterly to determine the next season's presentations . In order to  be considered by the board for a concert you must apply formally by  sending  two hard copies of  each of your promotional materials including updated bios, pictures and description of your band and  a description of your music with a recording. These materials are needed to promote your concert and you will not be given a date until these materials are received . You must have  at least five original jazz compositions or a 45 min set of music and send a  recording that represents the  original music you will play on the forum series. We are looking for new music written especially for this presentation or music that is fresh and exciting as if being played for the first time.

The music presented must be your originals only .  Please understand that we do our best to get  back to you but due to tours and productions it may be impossible to respond immediately. We appreciate all of your inquiries and promotional materials that are sent will be listened to and kept on file. Please continue to be patient . We appreciate your email inquiries as to the status of your application.  We receive many applications .   We will not consider your application unless you have fulfilled all the above application requirements.  Also if you live locally please attend so you can experience first hand our unique concert presentations.
